Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Major Gifts & Planned Giving to lead the team who are responsible for our $10,000+ fundraising and planned giving efforts. These fundraising programs support both the Wikimedia Foundation and the Wikimedia Endowment. The person in this role will play a critical part in our growing major gifts program, as it becomes an increased focus of our diversified revenue plan. They will also lead the strategy and implementation driving the maturation of our planned giving program.
The anticipated annual pay range of this position for applicants based within the United States is US$134,147 to US$203,434 with multiple individualized factors, including cost of living in the location, being the determinants of the offered pay. For applicants located outside of the US, the pay range will be adjusted to the country of hire.
Responsibilities
- Retaining, recruiting and managing a team of fundraising professionals and consultants
- Achieving annual major gifts ($10K+) and planned giving targets; collaborating with other leaders in the fundraising program to develop donor journeys that funnel mid-level prospects into the major donor audience.
- Collaborating with the Sr. Director of Development on the development of a sustainable major giving strategy for the Wikimedia Foundation and the Wikimedia Endowment
- Leading the ongoing development of the planned giving program and building a robust pipeline of planned giving commitments that will provide support for the Wikimedia movement for decades to come
- Partner with the Sr. Director of Development, Major Gifts Stewardship Manager, and Fundraising Events Manager to further develop the events strategy to support increasing individual and planned giving fundraising; strengthening the stewardship and donor recognition program, with the objective of establishing a life-long, relationships with major and planned giving donors
- Collaborate with the Endowment Board of Trustees to develop fundraising strategy, lead fundraising implementation and identify potential new board members
- Ensuring the cultivation and stewardship of a diverse portfolio of existing donors and donor prospects, including undertaking direct individual donor solicitations and cultivating high value relationships.
- In collaboration with the Major Gifts Stewardship Manager, overseeing portfolio management, major donor prospecting and systems support for gift officers to identify and qualify new major donors
- Partner with managers and subject matter experts across the fundraising program to define cross-team strategies, goals and help set up the structure for execution, including for planned giving marketing
- Generate creative solutions to improve donor experience and fundraising performance, considering current capacities and donor interests
- Coordinate with other teams and departments in the Wikimedia Foundation to realize opportunities and enhance organizational impact
Qualifications
- Seven plus years of successful fundraising experience
- Experience creating and implementing successful fundraising strategy ideally for an endowment and/or planned giving
- Experience leading teams including mentoring and developing staff with a wide range of experience
- Broad-based knowledge of various development campaign activities
- Experience building relationships through mission-supporting ventures a comfort with major donors and a respect for and understanding of their goals and objectives
- Ability to create and maintain strong internal relationships and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrable track record as an exceptional communicator in writing as well as verbally adept at writing solicitation letters, donor correspondence and other kinds of material for publication experience preparing and making effective presentations to diverse groups large and small
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of donor information and a finely-tuned sense of discretion
- Experience working in an organization with a distributed workforce using asynchronous and synchronous communication methods and an ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and accountability
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment.

The Senior Process Analyst, Community Organizing Experience will be responsible for co-designing organizing processes, and supporting organizers to use evidence-based workflows to reach our diverse community of volunteers globally.

Responsibilities
- Leading the design and co-creation of best practices for organizers looking to grow their skills, capacity and impact in efforts to reach new and established contributors to work on-Wiki.
- Assisting organizers in building alignment between their work and that of other cohorts of contributors, including on-wiki community facilitators and moderators working on-Wiki.
- Developing tested workflows in tool adoption and programme design for key organizer processes that improve newcomer retention and quality edits during organized activities.

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team, reporting to the Senior Manager of finance. As the Senior Financial Analyst on the team, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of our revenue channels and grants programs and provide analytical insight into the financial data for senior executives, managers and program owners.
This role is remote and open to candidates between UTC-8 to UTC-4 (ie. Pacific daylight time to Atlantic time.). Due to the nature of this role, which involves working with globally distributed teams, you may occasionally be required to work outside of standard business hours
Responsibilities
- Build close relationships with leaders in the digital fundraising and revenue analytics teams to understand revenue scenarios and forecasting processes.
- Support department leadership and budget managers in operationalizing business strategies by analyzing resource plans and their alignment with our strategic business objectives.
- Facilitate department budgeting, financial modeling, expense forecasting and other planning processes.
- Build productive business partnerships across a globally distributed organization and serve as a trusted advisor to departmental leadership.
- Understand strategic revenue plans, including the potential benefits and risks of further investments, and assist the revenue analytics team in data-driven decision-making.

This is a very hands-on engineering role working alongside our other security team members to design and code new features to protect and reassure our users and to ensure the platform remains resilient against attacks.

Job Description
You’ll work remotely with the fully distributed Research team, with members currently spread between UTC+3 and UTC-7. You will be accountable for our UX Research function which serves stakeholders in the Wikimedia Foundation and the broader Wikimedia Movement.
This role reports to the Head of Research and requires working with senior leadership and stakeholders across the organization in different timezones. It is expected that the person who will join us in this role will be available for critical meetings and synchronous work between 15:00 to 19:00 UTC. It is further expected that the candidate is open to traveling up to four times per year.
