Cruise Ship Jobs. Viking is seeking to hire a Guest Services Agent in River (US/Mississippi)
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary source of information for guests, providing concierge services, according to shift schedule
- Process onboard sales transactions and operate phone switchboard, cashless system, and safety system
- Ensure smooth operation of guest infotainment system
- Plan and execute embarkation, disembarkation, and check-in/out procedures
- Maintain daily logbook and guest manifests, handle guest complaints, and prepare guest lists and invitations
- Coordinate guest travel arrangements and assist with shore excursions while providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers
- Willing and able to work 10 weeks straight on the ship followed by 4weeks vacation. (Schedule & rotation may flucuate depending on occupancey and staffing needs)
Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience in the scope of the Front Office department or similar at a 5-Star hospitality and/or restaurant environment; shipboard experience is an advantage
- High school diploma required, and degree with hospitality focus preferred
- Physically fit and in good health; extensive walking required and ability to stand on feet for long period of time
- Guest-focused, service-oriented, positive personality, professional appearance and impeccable hygiene standards

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS & AT WILL EMPLOYMENT
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (green card) to work onboard the ship, as required by federal regulations
