Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records across the business.
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of management accounts.
- Reconcile general ledger, clearing and inter-company accounts.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes.
- Ensure accurate authorisation and allocation of expenditure.
- Oversee stock control procedures and assist with stock counts.
- Assist with internal audits and year-end audit preparations.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare weekly cash flow requirements and creditor payments.
- Monitor financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Compile payroll input schedules and leave schedules.
- Assist with sustainability reporting and operational compliance.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and procedures.
- Mentor and assist with the development of finance team members.
- Liaise with relevant authorities regarding operational licences and statutory compliance.
- Monitor fleet reporting and support general administrative finance functions.
Qualifications
- CPA III qualification.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience, preferably within hospitality or a similar environment.
- Experience with inventory and stock management.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience working with financial systems and reporting platforms will be advantageous.
